CHRIZPY CHRIZ
Experimental sound design. Heavy frequencies. Unfamiliar worlds.
For over 15 years, Christopher Gouchie, known as Chrizpy Chriz, has been developing a distinct approach to electronic music rooted in sound design, experimentation, and a fascination with the spaces between genres.
Working with analog synthesizers, tape machines, modular systems, and self-recorded foley, Chrizpy Chriz treats sound as a material to be shaped, distorted, and rebuilt. The result is music that moves beyond conventional genre boundaries, drawing from experimental bass, leftfield dubstep, halftime, and drum and bass.
Influenced by artists such as Amon Tobin, Noisia, and Lorn, his work balances intricate sound manipulation with weight, atmosphere, and visceral impact. Deep low-end, unconventional rhythms, and evolving textures form the foundation of a sound that is as much about creating an environment as it is about producing a track.
Having brought his music to stages including Shambhala, Chrizpy Chriz continues to develop a live and recorded experience built around sonic exploration. Each project is an opportunity to push the relationship between technology, emotion, and physical sound.
The goal is simple: to create music that feels unfamiliar, hits with intention, and leaves a lasting impression.
